Introducing the MKC Traditions Knives, a special collection that brings back the classic hunting knives from my days as a custom knife maker. Each knife in this lineup features a unique desert ironwood handle, renowned for its toughness and one-of-a-kind grain patterns.
The MKC Traditions Knives showcase handles crafted from desert ironwood, a material celebrated for its hard, closed grain that repels oil, blood, and water. This ensures the handle stays clean, stable, and free from warping or cracking. We’ve outfitted five of our models – the Blackfoot, the Whitetail, the Stonewall, the Jackstone, and the Super Cub – with these exceptional handles, each paired with a custom sheath from Francesca at Teton Leather.
Every piece of desert ironwood is unique, just like a fingerprint, offering a variety of grain patterns from burly to straight. This means no two knives are alike, giving you a one-of-a-kind tool that is both functional and visually stunning.
